Migrant Sunday – 13 January 2013: Today the Church invites us to remember all migrants, both those who have left Ireland to find a new life elsewhere and those who have come to live here from other countries. Migrants are people of hope. Pope Benedict calls their travels Pilgrimages of Faith and Hope.

The Festival Committee Kildysart would like to invite people to attend an important meeting to determine the viability of the 2013 Year of Gathering festival. Clare VEC, Kilrush is offering an Introduction to

Healthcare course with eventual progression to FETAC Level 5 qualification. This course is suitable for people hoping to work as home helps, with the elderly or in the childcare sector and consists of 6 hours per week for 14 weeks.We are also offering classes in horticulture, baking skills, sewing and computers (evening and daytime) in

Kildysart Parish in 2012

During 2012 the following celebrations took place in our parish:

Parish Council Meeting

The January meeting of Kildysart Pastoral Council will take place in the Community Centre on Thursday 10th January at 8pm

Kildysart Senior Citizens Club will    resume Wednesday next at 10am.          See you there!

5km Walk or jog in aid of Kilrush RNLI will take place in Labasheeda this Sunday January 6th at 2pm, followed by refreshments at the Community Centre. Registration at 1.30pm.All Welcome.

SOLAS Suicide Support Group will take place on Saturday 12th January, from 11.am - 12 noon at CIOC Offices, Elevation Business Park,Ennis. This support group is for family, friends and co workers, whose lives have been touched by suicide either   recently or in the past. Senior Citizens Party

A most enjoyable party was held in the community centre on Sunday last. This party was organized by the local social service committee. (See notice board for more.)                                                                 kildysART Community Gallery would like to thank everybody who has supported us since we opened in August. Thanks to all those who have given their time to keep the  Gallery open during the week, those who gave their skills to improve the building and all those who have trusted us to display their art and crafts. Thanks to all who donated turf and logs and a big thank you to all the children who came to classes and created such lovely works of art .Well done!!! Looking forward to seeing you all in the New Year for new exhibitions and events. Also we will be starting our Community Garden early 2013. If you are interested in being involved please get in touch. We are looking for a few volunteers to give 2 hours per week  in the   Gallery.We will open again mid January. See you then.
